Ivan it’s sad to see you go. You have been such a loving caring husband to my sister and loved Elizabeth and Peter and all the grand kids so much. You had so much cheek to give and always made us laugh. The fight you have put up for years was so strong. No more pain or suffering now that fight has come to a end. Rest now Ivan .Love Bernadette. Thinking of you all through this difficult time. Liz you are a wonderful daughter who gave so much love and time throughout his long illness. He would be very proud of the loving person that you are
Ivan, a true gentleman, who was so easy to like and enjoy being with! There was always a laugh to be had or a story to share. We will remember Ivan for his strength, unconditional love, will power, practical knowledge and attitudes and of course his sense of fun.
Life was not really fair, dealing you many hardships; cutting short your “old age” adventures and your all important independence, but there was never a why me! You just continued to soldier on regardless.
There was so much to admire about you as our brother in law, uncle and friend.
To Susan, we express our sympathy and support and wish you peace knowing that you cared for Ivan with utmost devotion and love. He couldn’t have wished to have been in better hands. You were mates for life! You were just too precious for him to want to leave behind. You were his everything! Thank you for bringing Ivan into our lives and sharing him with us.
To Elizabeth, Nik, Finnegan, Isla and Evie, what a wonderful legacy you have been given. Your care and love and all the “little” things which were really “big” things you did, never went unnoticed. Ivan was so proud of you. You made him laugh and kept him going. Continue to cherish your memories.
Our condolences to all Ivan’s extended family as they too mourn his death.
We’ll miss you Ivan
God bless you.
