We first met Graeme and Dianne through neighbours in the mid 60s. And we immediately “clicked”. Graeme would often turn up on a Friday evening with a packet of Nabisco’s latest crackers for us to try. This led them to be Uncle Grae and Aunty Di to our children who were also in awe of King dog. Graeme and Greg often played golf together. Graeme was a one stick man. He could do anything with his 5 iron, drive, chip and sometimes putt. As the years rolled by our families moved apart, Graeme and Di became farmers, specializing in an Italian breed of cattle and we moved to Townsville. But we did stay in touch by telephone and Christmas letters. On the occasions we visited family in Melbourne we tried to visit our dear friends at Koo Wee Rup. Greg remembers Di showing us her very own chainsaw. Deepest sympathy, Dianne, Monica, Cameron and families. So long to our good mate Graeme.
