Peter William Backman.
Passed away peacefully on
Thursday 13th April 2017.
Aged 81 years.
Kind and loving husband to Rose who was greatly loved by so many and will be sorely missed. Thank you for loving me and embracing me into your large and welcoming family. Thank you also for embracing my children and grandchildren who all love you very much. You were a loving stepfather to David and Mai Collins; Sarah and Brett Simpson and dearly loved Grandfather to Jamie and Patrick Simpson; Madeleine and Sophie Collins. You have left us with so many happy memories. We remember especially times spent at Corinella around the fire when you told funny stories from your Police days and had us rolling about with laughter. Thanks for the memories: we shall never forget you, Pete.

Passed away after a long illness.
Beloved wife of Velia (dec) and Rosemary.
Much loved father of Philip, Lisa, Michelle, Anne-Maree and Nikki.
Much loved Step father of David and Sarah.
Loved father in law to Ali, Steve, Darren, Scott and Mai.
So loved by 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral prayers for Mr Peter William Backman will be offered at
St Macartan’s Catholic Church, 4 Drake Street Mornington on
Thursday April 20th 2017 commencing at 11.00 a.m.
A burial will follow at the Mornington Cemetery
40 Craigie Rd Mount Martha.
