The Committee and staff of the Garfield Golf Club extend sincere sympathy to Roslyn, David and their families on the passing of Eric.
He was a much loved and respected member of our Golf Club for over four decades.
Eric served on both the General Committee and Greens Committee.
He will be fondly remembered by many of his contemporaries.
RIP Eric..
I remember dad dressed as Santa in his Ute one Christmas at the club. It was hilarious!
Dad loved playing golf with his mates at Garfield.
The club was really important in his life and I noticed a decline in his mental and physical health when golfer’s elbow kicked in.
A fabulous golf club, with so many great people.
Roslyn, David and family’s please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Eric. He was a lifelong friend whom I had the pleasure of both working and socialising with always accompanied by a lot of laughter and good times. I watched the service on livestream and a lot of memories came flooding back. Rest in peace mate, you were a great bloke.
Richard Shelton.
I have fond memories of Eric in our early Pakenham Upper days. Sympathy to the Harvies’ on his passing from the family of the Bert Nye’s’.
Thank you, Carol.
Thanks Richard,
I love the photo from the CFA and I spotted you in it.
Pakie Upper was a great place to grow up and looking over all the photos brought back memories of so many people.
I hope you and your family are going well.
Roz.
