I worked with Shane for several years until I left in August 2023. After that time, Shane would phone me on a regular basis to see how I was and tell me all about his family and how proud he was of all of them. He always told me how his daughters were going and even gave me a candle that one of them had made and I still have it now. He was also so proud of all his grandchildren and was just loving life. I was absolutely shocked when I heard of his passing and will always have Shane in my thoughts. I am thinking of his own family and pass on my sincere condolences to them and just to tell them that their father was a one of a kind and they too should be proud of the guy they called dad .
Just shattered completely shattered such a lovely bloke always up for a chat always had lessons to teach such as treat people how you would like to be treated having a chat to someone could save a life and leaving this world better then you found it making a difference in people’s lives each day Shane went above and beyond and would go out of his way and set the standard in the carpentry industry and trade industry. His left a legacy and left a massive hole and has left massive shoes to fill. Thank you for everything Shane. Rest in peace mate our deepest condolences sympathies and our love to his family friends loved ones and his community.
Shane mate you were always there for me in times of hardship. Family members sick, friends passing away. You were always a rock for me Shano. Loved your sense of humor. You were a guy i looked upto and respected. I hope you know how much i loved ya mate. Sending my love to Tatum and all of Shanes family. 1 in a million for were mate. Rest easy brother.
Dear Tiffany, Tatum and Alan,
My deepest condolences to you all. I still can’t believe Shane has left us. He was a great man with a warm heart who loved his family dearly. He always spoke highly of his girls and was over the moon when he found out he was going to be a grand dad. He was also very helpful, helping friends and even people he didn’t know. He taught me so many things at work with his experience and knowledge. I wish I could be there on Monday to pay my respects but unfortunately I’m unable to attend. I’m sure you guys will give him a send off he truely deserves. My thoughts and condolences go out to you all during is difficult time. RIP legend ♥️♥️

It was a privilege working with Shane over the past 5 years.
Shane possessed such a joyful energy and was a very positive individual, we always shared a good laugh every day.
He had many amusing stories and truly enjoyed a good conversation.
Shane was an exceptionally helpful person, not only to those he knew but also to those he didn’t.
Shane spoke very highly of his family and expressed how proud he was of them.
My thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
Rest peacefully Shane, you will be sadly missed.

I believed for 20 years I was a qualified carpenter. Shane said I wasn’t because I didn’t I own a block plain. Shane brought me a block plain. Shane inducted me as a carpenter last month. We will all miss you. Cheers maaaaaate ✌ love ya fly high cuz!
Working with Shane for the last year was always a laugh, his approach to life and attitude was unique. He spoke so highly of his family and I heard many stories of his life growing up, I will miss you mate! Thanks for always going above and beyond whenever I called! I will miss our random chats.

I am deeply shocked and heartbroken by the sudden passing of your Dad, Shane.
He brought such joy and warmth to us all, especially his Dad, Bill and myself.
Although I didn’t enter Shane’s life until he was a young man, the years I spent loving him were an absolute privilege.
He loved his family, he loved the Murray River and he will forever be loved and remembered.

Shane, I’ll always value the years we spent working together in Seymour, and the times we caught up after I resigned. Despite the situations we worked in, you always had my back, and always there with a positive attitude. You were a proud father and grandfather, always talking with pride about your family. I’ll miss seeing your van parked at Bunnings, and hearing your voice from across the car park. Rest easy mate, gone too soon.

I’m gonna miss your loudness and all your inappropriate stories. It won’t be the same without you at Christmas.
You always took the time to ask how I’ve been and actually listen and I won’t forget that.
Even Ariana knew you as “Gumba”…. that says a lot in itself.
