Dearly loved partner of Nick.
Mum of Peter, Bev (dec), Laurie, Keith and Glenda.
Sister of Mary and Lorna (dec).
Granny Glad to Jess, Nicky, Jared, Ryan,
Bethany, Lily, Max, Isy, Mitch
and loved great grandmother.
A Celebration for the Life
of Glad Fish will be held at
David W Bull Pakenham Funeral Home
190 Princes Highway, Pakenham on
Thursday 27th August 2026
commencing at 10:30 a.m.
A private family burial will follow.
All other mourners are welcome to the
Railway Hotel, 153 Main Street Pakenham
to further celebrate Glads life from 12:15 p.m.

Glad you were always larger than life and have left your mark in the hearts and minds of many, many people whose paths you crossed. We are so sorry to know that you have left us and you will be greatly missed .

Glad, there was never a quiet time if you were involved. From running events, bringing up a family & everything else you were involved in.
I consider it a privilege to have known you, partied with you & even navigated for you.
I remember you rolling the 404 over the finish line at Ballarat & the first words out of your mouth were “Did I beat her”?
That sums you up perfectly, 100% at everything you did. Yes, you trod on a few toes, but they probably deserved it.

So immensely sorry for the loss of such a remarkable and wonderful woman. Known her my whole life. There are just no words to adequately describe my feelings. Thoughts are with her family and friends and the wider auto sport communities. What a woman! Rest easy Glad. Never forgotten.

I always missed our arguments, er, discussions. Glad was never backwards is her opinions or demands about rallying. I was her CAMS Area Coordinaor, her sounding board, sometimes her way around the motorsport bureaucracy thar frustrated us both, supporter of her annual mission of getting the George Woods Novice Trial toe be the first event each year on the Victorian Rally Calendar. As a one time novice competitor I learnt so much from this indomitable lady with her love of the port and total support for the newer competitors. Behind her forceful nature she was kind, thoughtful and a possessor of overwhelming love of rallying, and of life. You just did not get in her way.
I remember competing against her in her beloved Peugeot on a wet and muddy night (Murrindindis?) where she spun and completely blocked the road to all following cars. She waited till enough cars were queued behind her with enough crews to unbog her. Then she jumped into her car and took off and everyone had to jump into their cars and follow.
For Glad, rallying was about club rallying for real people and real cars ( Peugeots) and tolerating “other cars (the rest). She directed the William Harvey in the Otways on another rainy night where other directors would have pulled the pin owing to atrocious conditions. Eight cars were stuck on one section but if a Peugeot could get through, or a better driver, the stage would not be cancelled! We completed it, om a Mitsubishi Lancer, so it was not.
And of course her famous rollover on the finish line of the Challenge of Clubs autocross at the Ballarat Aerodrome where she scrambled out of her inverted Peugeot demanding to know if she had beaten the woman she was competing against for the coveted ladies class.
So long Glad. You were an inspiration to me and to many others starting out as a novice competitor.
I guess it’s too late to ask for the blue Ford Four windcheater back you stole from me?
My condolences, love and best wishes to Nick and the family.
We find it hard to imagine a Motorsport world without Glad.
As well as countless club meetings and Peugeot outings, we also have many fun memories of being in the wilds around Noojee when Glad was running the George Woods Rallies – and Brian remembers Glad putting him in the Geriatric class in a motorkhana she ran about 40 years ago!
Have a “spot on” time into the finish control, Glad.

On behalf of Huntingdale Auto Club, we offer our condolences on the sad passing of Glad Fish, but at the same time we acknowledge the tireless work she put in over the many years we have worked (and competed) together.
Especially for her support of grass-roots Motorsport and the continual encouragement of new and younger competitors.
Our continued thoughts are with Nick and Glad’s extended family. R.I.P.

what a beautiful services it was this morning for Glad , I had tears running down my face , listening to you talking about her live and how you both got to meet each other . she will be beside you forever and ever, she will always be in my heart . I will miss you dearly Glad i’m so grateful to have known you through our salty family Narre Warren South. We had beautiful talks every time we seen each other big hugs you so caring to me I will never forget you. There were hugs to each other every time I walk into the salt room, I have so many memories of you over years . I will never forget you always in my heart. ❤️
