Fond memories from the St Sofia Committee at Koo Wee Rup.
To our Grandpa,
The world seems a little more dim without your guiding light. A simple, humble, funny, charming, empathic, generous, one of a kind, the list could continue but most importantly nice man. Whom was filled with so much love.
Our memories with you will be forever cherished, there will forever be stories to tell. You leave behind the most incredible legacy, which we are so so proud of. I don’t think many could say they’ve achieved half the things you have. Thank you for your sacrifice, dedication and gambles without it, I wouldn’t be doing what I am today. We will carry your legacy the best we can and forever speak your name.
I will miss the simple things the most. Hearing you coming down the hall, helping you, your phone ringing, our fiery debates, memorable fishing trips on the boat, listening to you laughing with the kids, the rustle of the brown bag full of lollies, eating your roast pork but most of all I will miss the amazing you.
Life goes on, the world keeps spinning even though what we know will never be the same. You put up the a courageous fight until the end. May you now be at rest, until we meet again one day.
I love you, your forever sweetheart Louise,
Mater, Annabelle and Paddy.

Uncle David, you were truly one of a kind. Your generosity and kindness were always qualities that I wanted to have in myself growing up because I seen how much a room lit up when you arrived. Your funny stories, your love for those around you and your questionable boat skills are all things I will miss so much. I’ll love you forever, Ebb xxx

I am so saddened to see someone that I cared and respected has passed away, I so wanted to come to your funeral today, but was unable. I remember when my dad passed away and my family wanted me to take dad’s glasses to put on him. Who was there to great me but the loveable Bully to give me the biggest hug and tell me I could do this. I am going to miss you so much. Beautiful service xxxx
Dear Betsie & Family,
We are sorry to hear the sad news of Davids passing. He was a local legend. David provided a great service to our family over the course of 4 family members funerals. He will be sadly missed by all. R.I.P. David.
Dearest Betsie, Melissa and Family,
I was so saddened to hear of David’s passing. David was a great friend of my dad (Steve) for over 25 years. There was no such thing as a quick visit to David’s, Dad would disappear for hours; I can only imagine the BULLshit they were talking.
Such a terrific man, and the best storyteller you’d meet. I remember with great fondness catching up with David and Betsie about 18 months ago, and the funny stories David told of his years in the funeral business – stories I’ve shared time and time again. If only David wrote a book.
David provided such comfort to so many families in sad times. Always professional and so genuinely caring. A huge loss to his family, friends and the wider Pakenham community.
with love, Mel and the Hall Family xx
