    • It is so painful to say farewell to a friend who gave us both so much of herself and our extended families. We met you on a hot summers day in Mingenew in 1983. There are so many things to say but the most significant memory is that she was a friend who always made herself present in friendship. She always knew when you were in need of help or in a painful moment of life. Her connection to us all is a thread that will never be broken. Thank you Ange for sharing do much joy laughter and kindness. You were indeed a rare and significant friend. Vale our Dear special friend. Leigh and Shelley Steedman.

Your true and enduring friendship, your help and advice, your support in hard times but most of all, our phone calls, when we solved education’s and the world’s problems, planned our next show and shared our TV viewing.

    Dear Angela,

Though we may no longer see your smiling face,
Your spirit lives on forever in this place.
It’s in the hearts of the many children you’ve taught.
Your dedication and love for them, is something special that can’t be bought.
It’s in the walls of these buildings, where your many craft projects have hung.
The nursery rhymes and songs you taught, we’ll forever think of you when sung.
It’s touched the lives of parents, families, colleagues, friends.
Oh, how we miss you, but this is not the end.
It’s out in the playground, where we climb, run and race,
Take a moment to sit on the bench and feel it in the wind on our face.
Your unique spirit is special and admired by all who knew.
We love you Angela and we’ll always think of you.
    ❤️

  26. What a beautiful person Ange was. I first met her during our days in Mildura, both of us young teachers enjoying this new adventure. I was delighted to reconnect with Ange many years later when she became great friends with my sister-in – laws in W.A. To my surprise and joy, Ange ended up in Longwarry and we were virtually neighbours. Ange became a key part of our family gatherings and social events. All my family loved her. She was a generous, caring friend, always the first to help out or to bake something delicious for every occasion. We all miss her and are so very grateful for how she enriched our lives. Thank you Ange.
