Our heartfelt condolences to all the family, especially to Annette and father Paul.
He will be happy now in heaven as he is together with mum, dad, Val, Mick and Beverley’s husband. RIP Barry.
Thankyou Josie and Noel
He went peacefully
Mal and I held his hands as he took his last breathe
My condolences to your family on the passing of a good man.
Having lived in WTree and area for 40 years I remember Barry fondly. He was a great community person willing to help people out. He loved the country and riding his horse through the bush.
He was very compassionate when my late husband passed and helped sell my husband’s classic LTD car.
I remember him also at Down to Earth Confests in the Healing village working as a masseur and helping out as member of the organisation.
He was a kind soul who played an active role in supporting our community.
Sadly missed.

Thankyou for sharing your memories. Dad loved his time at Sunrise
I knew Barry from the Confests in the early 80’s, then again met him when I moved to WTree in the 90’s. He was always friendly cheerful and willing to lend a hand at community events with a beautiful smile and kind words. He loved and was loved by his family and friends. Sincere condolences. Beth Allen
Thankyou for your memory
Confest was something he talked about frequently the positives and the negatives of it all but mostly him giving his energy
Goodbye Barry – you were a great asset to our community in Buchan and W Tree, and your little home and garden were a pleasure to visit and behold. The place has changed so much since you left. I have lots of photos of the early days and your little abode. I would be happy to share them with anyone interested. Thanks for all you gave.
Hi Kay,
lovely to hear from you.
I wondered if you were still at Sunrise.
Dads time at Sunrise was filled with many memories that he shared over the years.
In the last weeks of his life we laughed about his time shearing someone’s sheep and how it thru him and he ended up on his back underneath it.
Working in the orchard at Ontos.
The co op and the sharing with the different people living on Sunrise.
Beautiful memories
If you have photos I would love to see them
We knew Barry to be passionate about life, very keen to get involved in community and give his best. He was a kind man and very thoughtful. He made the most of his life and lived it as best he could.
Carol and Hans
Dad and I shared a memory of the 4 of sitting on your verandah in your beautiful garden
Thankyou for the friendship
Living in W Tree (although not on Sunrise) I also want to acknowledge Barry’s investment in and commitment to this community.
I was particularly appreciative of his readily given practical assistance in setting up for a Women’s gathering I helped organise as a Single Mum of a toddler, and his efforts at our Food CoOp which I think he established.
RIP
Deborah thankyou for your memory, over his life Dad gave his time to so many. It obviously meant alot to you that you still remember his assistance all these years later
To Annette, Mal & extended family… Our love, thoughts & prayers are with you during your sad loss of Barry (your Dad)…. Your cousin Christine & Bruce
Christine thankyou for the beautiful card and bringing Aunty Bev to visit dad.
He was blessed to be a part of such a caring family
