  1. Condolences, to Rays (Barry) family, he will be sadly missed, we were great friends. Miss, you Ray, love from Leighann and Neville, and Margaret who you called each other grandma and grandpa. xx

  2. Saddened to hear of Ray’s sudden passing. He was a much respected Cardinia Waters resident, and a part of our bowling club. He would always help others out, especially driving residents to medical appointments. We were enjoying his travel posts on Facebook and proud of his endeavours. I enjoyed especially his devotion to the Collingwood Magpies. My sympathies to his family, and his village family too. We mourn his passing, too. His sad passing on the voyage of his life, means he passed doing what he loved most. Farewell Ray!

    John Moore
    • Cheers John

Indeed he was having a ball on the voyage of a lifetime. And yes, Collingwood, he was their Number 1 Supporter. What will they do without him??!!!!

Thank you for your kind words

  11. Well Clarkie, you went the way you wanted. Fast, having a ball with new friends. One could say you went first class.
A few days ago, I was swooped by a magpie protecting its nest. Reminded me of you not just for your beloved Magpies, but also your absolute determination to protect your young’ uns. You Ray Clarke, were and still are, a man among men.
I’ve know Ray for over 50 years and my wife Lily knew you a lot longer than that. Our kids called you Uncle Clarkie. Many a great Christmas and footy final was had in your company.
You are our family and we mourn your passing but remember the person you were.
Kind, generous, protective, a great friend.
When we were meeting up in the later years you would often say what a grumpy old bugger you had become. Lily would say “right you are Ray. But you’re our grumpy bugger!”
Vale Ray. You will be missed greatly.
