I am so saddened to hear about the passing of Caitlin sending so much love to Caitlin’s family and friends. May precious memories comfort you all during this time. Caitlin was one in a million with a heart of gold, an infectious laugh and smile. She achieved so much in such a short time and took on any challenge that came her way her determination and strength was admirable from getting her first car, to finishing her nursing, purchasing her first house and all her other achievements. She loved her family and friends so much and would speak highly of them and do anything for them. I have many fond memories with Caitlin and am greatful for the time and memories we got to make, forever 33! Love you Caitlin xox
So very sad to hear this news. A beautiful nursing colleague, taken far too soon. May you rest in peace. Till we meet again xoxo
It is with great sadness we heard of the passing of our dear friend and colleague Caitlin. so sad for the bad news ,she was so friendly to me and all colleagues ,will miss her .
A gentle and beautiful soul who we will miss seeing in the ward. She was most helpful to all staff, always ready to lend a hand. My last memory of her was us chatting about her favourite cake from the Filo shop. Very saddened by this news. Rest in peace, angel.
Hi family. I am Warren Nurse Educator at Golf Links Road who has had the privilege of working closely with Caitlin these past years.
Janet and I share an office with Caitlin and our jobs are intertwined teaching and guiding Graduate nurses, student nurses and senior nurses.
Caitlin was a wonderful Clinical Support Nurse. So caring, considerate and knowledgeable with our new inexperienced nurses who all have felt her loss significantly. It is just not fair when the world takes such a beautiful person away.
Caitlin was a key member of our group and the wider health care community here; she will be greatly missed by managers and colleagues who were co-workers and friends alike.
Condolences to all her family, loved ones and friends
with deepest sympathy
Warren

Caitlins passing has come as a great shock to her colleagues at Golf Links Road. As the Director of Nursing at Golf Links Road, I have always found Caitlin a joy to talk to. Her eagerness to help others, both patients and her colleagues, shone through. Her loss will leave a huge gap. She was an absolute inspiration to all.
My heartfelt condolences to your family on the sudden passing of your beloved daughter. I work at GLR1 as a ward clerk where Caitlin’s office was located. I always found Caitlin to be considerate, warm and a quiet achiever. We spoke about her dogs, Molly, Bo and Sadie often. I shall miss having my little chats with Caitlin. Warmly Anne-Maree Byrnes xo
Dear Caitlin I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You were such a great woman and so great to work with in the ICU. You were so smart and funny and had a heart of gold. You will be missed. Xxx
Caitlin was a much loved and respected member of the Clinical Support Nurse (CSN), Learning Hub and Golf Links Road (GLR) teams at Peninsula Health. She was known as a compassionate, caring, kind and amazing nurse. Caitlin supported and nurtured students, graduate nurses and ward staff alike. She loved working at the GLR site as a CSN and always said to us how much she enjoyed working there in her education and support role, which was well-suited to her caring nature. Caitlin was passionate about developing herself and others to be the best they could be, and was always thinking about providing the best care for her patients.
Caitlin will be sadly missed at Peninsula Health. Our sincerest condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.

Caitlin- my forever friend. I am absolutely devastated to hear of your passing. Over 20 years of friendship with so many memories made along the way. From high school to adulthood you were such a huge part of my life and I am so fortunate that we were able to remain connected over the years.
My heartfelt condolences to the Jones family. I cannot imagine the pain you are feeling. Rodney and Margaret, you raised an amazing, smart, generous, and ambitious woman. She had amazing parents she spoke so highly of.
Caitlin, your life taught me to be resilient and show tenacity, but also not to be too serious, and that there is always time to joke around. Your tragic passing has reminded me to make the most of each day.
I know we were meant to go and see Eminem the next time he came down, but I know you will be there with me in spirt when he does.
Rest in Peace Caitlin, I will love you forever and miss you always.
I worked with Caitlyn in the ICU & it has been a bitter shock to lose such a young, vibrant, beautiful & talented woman. I can’t imagine how you, her family must ache for her. She has been so profoundly kind to me, encouraging and warm as I have started my career in ICU. If Caitlyn was on the floor, you knew everything was going to be okay. I am so sorry for all of us at her passing, especially to those closest to her, but I am grateful for having met and known her, even if only for a short while.
As many other people have expressed, Caitlin was smart, funny and kind. She had such warmth behind her eyes and truly was a good soul. She spoke to everyone with the same kindness and respect. We could be complete serious and have a great laugh in the same conversation. Work will be less bright without her.
We loved chatting about our dogs. Her poor dogs will miss her but she back with Molly Moo.
I send my love and support to Caitlin’s family and friends.
Rosie (GLR2)
Our dearest beautiful Caitlin.
You were always so bright, full of energy and warmth when saying “good morning” each day.
You always took pride in teaching us staff and the students that walked through our doors, making sure to guide us while making it an unique learning opportunity.
You were always there for a chat, or a “pick your brain” moment- no matter how busy you were.
And your love of buying colorful scrubs energy met its match with me (remember that big FIGS sale- sorry not sorry haha), I’m sorry I never had the time to make you your Disney scrub top.
Thank you for teaching and guiding me to continue to study, lifting me up when I wanted to quit, explaining that broadening my horizons doesn’t have to be as scary as I think it will be- I will remember this each time I go on placement/each time I want to quit- your ever lasting and unwavering support to continue with uni.
Our last day together consisted of a MET call and conversations regarding my uni semester results- such a simple and standard day on the ward, yet already I am missing those future conversations that will never happen.
There is a large part of our family missing from our ward since you went to sleep.
We will miss you forever dear Caitlin.
We miss you so much already, the loss is hard to explain- Even the patients have felt it.
How can one week without you be gone already?
Our heart aches for your family and your puppies.
May you rest in peace, Caitlin, gone way too soon, but forever free of pain and illness.
Miss you so much our beautiful Caitlin.
Love and hugs to all your family.
Xx

I only heard about Caitlin’s passing today through my husband. I went back through our messages in the past, and saw her message saying that I have “changed the whole course of her life in a positive way” by telling her to apply as a CSN. She told me many times how happy she was working and getting a lot of support from GLR. I have always believed in her skills and capability as nurse. I knew she’d be a great support nurse and educator. She is good at what she does, and I have always believed in her. She might not know, but I wouldn’t have survived my post graduate course in Intensive Care without her encouragement. I even completed another certificate, and had her support all throughout that course. So I guess, it’s her who changed the course of my life, and not the other way around.
To the loved ones Caitlin has left behind, our sincerest condolences. Caitlin has always been kind to me, and I have only good things to say about her. I hope this brings you comfort that even if she has gone too soon, she has made an impact on many people, including me. May she rest in peace.
We were so fortunate to have Caitlin’s support. The gift she gave us was to share her wealth of experience and beautiful gentle nature. Caitlin with her lovely smile will be so missed.
Our heartfelt thoughts go to everyone who loved Caitlin. We hope her family and close friends know that she will be remembered with fondness by us all.

Caitlin was the type of friend who you’d get up to mischief with and have the best time. She was fun, loving, kind and caring. Her heart was made of gold. She loved her family more than anything in the world and I admired her for that.
I will always remember her as the one that helped me so much during a really tough time. She was so selfless. An angel was taken away too early from this world and we will feel her loss deeply. I miss you Caitlin, and always will.
Such a tragedy, we are so sorry to hear of Caitlin’s passing.
Our thoughts are with Rodney and Margie and family.
Caitlin you are missed by so many, as devasting it was to hear the news of your passing, your friendship from when I first met you in high school will always hold a special place in my heart. Rest in love my beautiful friend xo
Oh Caitlin, I am so devasted to hear this. A light has gone out in this world. Although it’s been a while, I can still hear and remember your contagious laugh. You made my high school years so much fun and I thankyou for all those days we laughed til we wheezed. Rest in sweet sweet peace my old friend. You are missed by so many.
Catie
I still so desperately don’t want to believe you’re gone, it’s not fair. You were SO loved Catie, I wish you knew just how many people are going to miss you. We bonded over so much, from the trivial things like twilight (24 times seen at the movies together ) to the not so trivial things like our intense anxiety. Your laugh still echoes in my mind, that chuckle was so contagious. I’ll love you always and miss you forever. I don’t want to say goodbye, so I’ll say see you later.
Rest in peace my beautiful friend x
To Caitlin’s family, my heart breaks for you. She was truly unforgettable, humour and sarcasm absolutely unmatched. You meant everything to her. Sending all my love your way and I’ll be keeping you in my thoughts

Caitlin was a very close friend of mine, not only a colleague. We shared so many beautiful memories during last 5 years. She has been there for my most special moments in life too. Caitlin was a giver. She gave her time, knowledge, help, compassion and honesty.
We always knew we were in for a great day when you walked in for a shift. It was always a pleasure working with you and learning from you, and I am humbled to have been your friend. I will always cherish our conversations about family, life challenges and your doggies…and your willingness for a good belly laugh even in the most awkward moments.
A delightful soul – You leave a legacy of kindness, love and strength.
