Carol’s passing is a great loss to Officer Ward, Cardinia and the wider community. She was a tireless advocate for our local area, a generous volunteer, and a guiding presence in so many local organisations and people. Her commitment to community life, her willingness to help others, and her deep pride in Officer left a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten.
Carol’s contribution helped shape the strong, connected community we know today. She gave her time, her energy and her heart, always putting the needs of others first. No doubt her legacy will continue to inspire those who follow in her footsteps.
On behalf of Council and the residents of Officer Ward, I thank Carol for her extraordinary service and offer heartfelt sympathy to all who are grieving her loss.
May she rest in peace, and may her legacy live on through the community she so dearly loved.

  18. What can I say about Carol. Lifetime friend of the McCoubrie family is a good start. Over the years we had many adventures together which included Overseas trips and trips around Australia. Smith’s Beach for many years was the place to be in the Summer. Our families spent many a day down at the beach with the Pipicelli’s in tow. All the young teenagers had wonderful fun. Many a card game would end in the early hours of the morning. Carol loved her games of cards and would quickly call out anyone who tried to do the wrong thing. We spent many years doing meals for the Football Club and we had lots of fun doing it. Carol loved to call the players up for their meals. She was good at it. We used to go the the pictures Friday nights at Fountain Gate and always called in at McDonalds for a cone of ice cream on the way home. So many more memories that I could mention but most of all Carol was always ready to help and would always be a friend to give you a hand if you needed it. We as a family will miss her humour and great sense of what needed to be done in this world. Thank you for the many years of friendship that you gave to us.
You will be missed in this world but we are sure that you will have Robert and Robin dancing to your wishes now.
Lots of love from Fay, Gary and Marion, Andrew Jeanette and Will.
    Rest in peace Carol.

  19. We were born 6 weeks apart. Our parents were friends. We grew up together. Many memories of all the fun and not so fun times throughout the years. We were so different in many ways, but were always there for each other not matter what. Many hours in your pool when the kids were young, then holidays at Smiths Beach. Watching our families spreading their wings. A great journey through life side by side. Will miss you heaps. Love to all the family. Judy Flynn
