    • Dear Dawn, I was the lucky one been part of the Barby family as best friend to Michelle. I was the lucky being of your Family in Beaconsfield on a Saturday night. The night started with a roast dinner then a game of cards. As a young girl, lovex The Penthouse Club. Then the trots started. Then know one was allowed to talk when Tattslotto started. The night ended with lovely pats of Niger the cat. What a precious family.

  4. Dawn and Graeme were the leaders of the street when we moved to Warren Rd and set the example of friendship and helpfulness for all to follow. They made it a great place to live and we will remember them forever as really good people. We extend our deep sympathy to Ian and Dianne, Barry and Sandra, Julie and Doug and their families on the passing of Dawn. It was always a part of our street parties to sit with Dawn and have a chat and a quiet drink, memories that will last a very long time – Rest in Peace Dawn.

  9. A wonderful lady and family who, along with Mr Mac, Baz, Ian and Julie, has been so much of my life and our family’s life since those heady days on holidays together at White Horses in Burleigh Heads in the 1970’s, Then came the endless fun in the summer school holidays at the MacDonald’s Farm at the end of Warren Road in Nar Nar Goon Nth. A lasting memory has to be Dawn’s love and care for me after I finished up in Pakenham Bush Nursing Home for a few days in January back in the day after getting crook from drinking unpasteurised milk from the cow on the Farm. I’m sure Mrs Mac was thinking something “soft city kid”, but she looked after my like my own mother.

Such a sad day for everyone who knew Dawn. But what a great legacy you have left us.

With lots of love from Greg and the whole Ellem family in Sydney.
