  12. We met an absolutely amazing couple, Don and Fay, 25 years ago, on a COSMOS tour around Europe. Don, you became our leader. A strong, yet gentle man. Don, we adored you. It was so natural to become life-long friends. To Fay – we cannot comprehend the pain of your loss. Don loved you so very much. We share in your sorrow today and in the days ahead. If there is anything we can do for you, please ask. Our sincere thoughts and condolences are with you and your beautiful family. Howard and Lyn

  16. My dear friend, Don. What I hold deep in my heart for you will live on. I am struggling to find the written words to compare to the depth of gratitude I hold for knowing you, being supported, cheered on, and loved by you. How I won the Life Lotto in being befriended by you is beyond me – I’m so grateful to and for you, Don. “A kiss & a cuddle”, Don. I’ll cherish each bear hug and forehead kiss you gave me, and I’ll remember them every time I need one. I will always think of you each week when I watch my Broncos play – I’ll cheer extra loud for the Storm (most) weeks too . I hope I can be to someone what you’ve been to Rob, and to me. You are an inspiration. My inspiration. My friend. Love you always, Maria ♥️

  17. Don would tell everyone he was my second dad.
He was a best friend to everyone.
His wife shares the same name as my mother, his brother shares the same name as my father and Don shares a birthday with my sister.
Don, I miss you every day.
We met in Europe, only weeks after the September 11 attacks in 2001. You looked after me when I was sick on the ferry travelling back from Calais to Dover and have looked out for me ever since.
You were my biggest supporter, with unconditional love.
There wouldn’t have been a conversation over the years when Don would not have mentioned Fay, the love of his life and also how proud he was of Glenn and his family…(and send “a kiss and a cuddle for my wife Maria”).
I cannot imagine the anguish the family are feeling. My sincere condolences to Fay, Glenn + Kim and family, also Don’s siblings and daughter Merome.
    Love RJ

    Rob (RJ)
