Dear Dr D’s family
Sorry to hear
I have worked with him for nearly four years at the HFP. He is a very nice person, He likes my son’s car, a 21-year-old Mini Cooper. He told me my wife has one, too.
We will miss him . RIP
God bless you all.
Condolences to Dr.Douglas family I have known him for over 60 years, Langton Medical, Hallam family practice. He saved my life, he was a very Special Dr.
We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of our beloved family doctor Dr Douglas. He was more than just a physician; he was a trusted friend and confidant who cared for our family for over 40 years. He provided exceptional care and support to me and my husband Brian, who battled terminal cancer, as well a great Dr to my sister Lorraine and her husband Bill, He also looked after Myself with great care, and I will always remember him as a wonderful doctor with whom I could share a laugh. His caring nature shone through, even to the end, when he personally called to inform me he would be away for a while due to his own illness and upcoming surgery. His kindness, compassion, and dedication will never be forgotten. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.”

We were so saddened by the passing of dear Dr. Douglas. You looked after our mum and dad (Bill and Janet Robinson) for over 50 years and became more like a friend… dad used to bring you a couple of bottles of “home brew” and you often asked mum for a recipe she’d cooked. Our beautiful mum passed away in December and she used to say “don’t retire until I’m gone”. We hope you got to put your feet up with your beloved Jean and I know mum will have a cuppa waiting for you. Rest in Peace Dr Douglas. Condolences to your family. Jan and Jackie

Dr, Douglas was our family doctor for over 50 years. One would live or die by his prognosis unlike doctors of today that rely on computers to diagnose ones ailments. We always laughed at his banter enjoying a gift of a good Shiraz at Christmas. He diagnosed my diabetes in 1998 keeping me alive to enjoy life into my eighties. When I join him it will be good to know he will continue his invaluable work in heaven. The Whitings family sincere condolences to the Family enjoy the peace and rest as God knows you have certainly earned it.IF WORDS COULD BUILD A STAIRWAY AND MEMORIES A LANE WE WOULD COME RIGHT UP TO HEAVEN AND BRING YOU HOME AGAIN.
Dr Douglas you were a true gentleman who will be greatly missed and one of the most honest people I have ever met, it was an honour to have known such a great man RIP now Dr D

First saw Sholto at Langton Medical Centre over 60yrs ago and when he opened his own practice in Frawley Rd he asked me to draw a street map of the area which of course was new. Alan and Paul played in the same team at Hallam juniors and Sholto became a staunch alia and friend ever since. Will miss our talks about the Bombers who we both supported. To Jean and family our deepest condolences

Dr Douglas was my GP in Hallam when I was a little girl then became a lovely neighbour when he moved to Bunyip with Jean. We were lucky that our time spent in Bunyip had such nice people next door always saying hello and stopping for a chat when either of us would get the mail. Tinkering in the garden and letting the kids come and feed the fish in the pond was just an extension of the already great person he was. RIP Sholto.
Dr D was my mentor and my teacher for so many years since I started out as a young GP in the Hallam area so many years ago. I will never forget all that he had taught me, especially those about how to truly care for patients. He was the most passionate doctor I came across and I will miss Dr D dearly. My most sincere condolences to Dr D’s family and Jean.
Dear Sholto, I will miss you as a colleague and mostly as a friend. I started working with you many, many years ago . I will miss your dry humour, your laugh, your last stomp on top of staircase coming up to ask me to type your reports or to sort something out . I will miss our chats and I will miss seeing your car everyday in the carpark.
To Jean and family, I send my deepest condolences .
RIP Dr D
