  10. 2:45 – 4th July 2024
Alone at the baggage carousel at Melbourne airport surrounded by hundreds of strangers
The message comes “ he’s gone”
I was an hour or two too late to say goodbye
In sorry I tried so hard to get there dad , to hold your hand one last time and tell you I loved you
    Life can be so cruel

We had a special bond dad , You and I
I think the distance made us closer
We shared so much together and never took each other for granted
I will miss the chats , the laughter we had and all our daily news we shared
You have left a huge hole in my heart
You may have left this earth but I take comfort in knowing that you loved me so much and that you knew how much loved I you too
I know you will look over me and protect me as you have always done in life
I will miss you so much
    Rest peacefully my beautiful dad
    Rest peacefully
    Your loving baby daughter

  12. A poem for Geoff.
Geoff, we are sad, so sad, we didn’t get to meet you as early as we should
If we had the power to change this, we absolutely would
Dad loved having you and Gerald in his life and on his side
He always talked about you both with so much pride
We all wished you’d had so much more “get to know you time”
You’d all have had a riot if you’d been together in your prime
The bonds you made were second to none
It’s sad all too soon two of you are gone
We love and miss you with all our hearts.
Maybe this isn’t an ending but also a start.
We hope you both meet again and share a stubby or two. Geoff we love you and will always miss you.
With love for your cousin Trevor, Dorothy, Gavin & Keeley
