With broken hearts,
we share that our beloved
Ivka passed away on
Thursday 15th of January 2026.
Much loved mother, grandmother,
mother-in-law and friend.
She will be remembered for her
strength, warmth, humour and the deep
love she had for her family.
Forever in our hearts.

Requiem Mass for the
repose of the soul of
Ivka Javor will be offered at
St Patrick’s Catholic Church,
128 Princes Highway, Pakenham
(entry via O’Shannessy Street)
on Wednesday 21st January 2026
commencing at 11:00 a.m.
A burial will follow
at the Gembrook Cemetery,
Blackwood Lane, Gembrook
arriving at approx. 1:00 p.m.
For those that feel comfortable with it,
please wear a splash of colour in memory of Ivka.
She loved colours and her favourite was red.

My beautiful friend Ivka, has left us too soon. The family & team at Caterinas Cucina e Bar only have the most wonderful memories of both Ivka & Charlie who we treasured not only for their wines on a business level but also their friendship. How many fruits & nuts did we constantly receive, how may stories were told & how many laughs did we have. Sincere condolences to the boys & their respective families. May Ivka fly with angels! ♥️♥️♥️

My deepest sympathy and condolences to you all,such a shock and so so sorry that happened to Mum the way it did.I had the pleasure of meeting both your parents at “Shannagolden”when my Mum was there in a room opposite Charlie,I used to so much admire your beautiful Mum,pushing him around,as I did my Mum too and we struck up a friendship and continued that.She used to always talk about my Mum,who was German and how lovely she was and we so appreciated her kindness with my Mum.I was at Charlie’s funeral and after that we kept in contact by phone,telling me about her trip back home and then selling their home and property but often ringing each other up,she told me she’d be moving to Berwick and she invited me around for lunch and we had such a wonderful afternoon together and I even got to taste their beautiful wine.Said we’d catchup again for coffee in Berwick and I did chat to her just b4 Christmas to say “Merry Christmas” and we’d catchup in the New Year.Mum had told me she’d been having headaches and must go to the Drs and that was the last time I spoke to her,as I tore my meniscus in my knee and couldn’t drive or get around and then had my brother and his wife here with me for Christmas and for 2 weeks there after,so a real shock when I got the phone call from you.
I will be at her service tomorrow,to say goodbye to such a beautiful lady..

My sincere condolences to Mark, Simon and family for the sad and sudden loss of Ivka. I have so many wonderful memories of my late husband, Barry, and I of having dinner with Charlie and Ivka. Ivka was an exceptional cook, and the night was always full of laughter. Ivka was the strongest and bravest woman I have known, so dedicated to her family and to the care of her beloved Charlie. She was always smiling and I will miss her greatly.

Ivka was an extraordinary woman of strength, calmness, kindness and integrity and a key member of the Mount Burnett community for half a century.
Ivka was an extraordinarily painstaking and conscientious worker who crafted a beautiful home, a successful business and a lovely property. She will be greatly missed.

My heartfelt condolences to Simon,Mark, Izzy,Jess, Ethan and Christopher. Ivka was my closest friend. We talked every day and saw each other nearly every day for coffee, lunch or wine and cheese. I am going to miss our chats, shopping days, movie days and just exchanging our daily activities. I have fond memories of weekends on the farm sampling all the Chestnut Hill wines, Pajama parties, playing cards, roasting chestnuts and of course her famous schnitzels. I was privileged to meet and spend time with her family who always treated me as one of the family. Over the years we developed a friendship which I hoped would last forever. I always left my front door unlocked every morning because I knew she would call in for coffee on her walk back home. A life taken too soon – a beautiful brave lady and a wonderful friend to me. I will never forget you Ivka. Good bless and rest in peace. ❤️❤️
