  3. We’ve had many a laugh together, I will miss you my friend, your jokes, your hospitality, the time we danced and you stood on my foot, camping, leaving before the game ends. (Much to your constanation). Life is a mixture of sunshine and rain, laughter and teardrops, pleasure and pain, triumphs, defeats, and losses and gains, through God’s love we sustain, save a place for me in Heaven, Jimmy.

  6. Uncle Jimmy was a remarkable inspiration throughout my childhood. He was the kind of favorite uncle who always had the best stories to share, a genuine curiosity for life, and a profound love and respect for everyone he encountered. Countless cherished memories from my youth revolve around him.

One thing I regret not telling Uncle Jimmy is that I once read the first few chapters of his book aloud to a class of seventh-grade boys I taught a few years ago. Even in his absence, his storytelling prowess captivated them—though I doubt they would have sat still through one of his famous slide shows!

To Thirza and my family, my heart is with you. Farewell, Uncle Jimmy. You were truly one of a kind.

    Love Sharon.
