So sadden to hear of your loss,.
I worked with John at National Mapping for 20 years and remember John as one of the true gentleman that always was kind, helpful and respectful.
My sincere condolences to you all.
RIP John
John (JE) was a valued friend and colleague, always unflustered despite the pressure of maintaining electronic equipment in the field. Very skilled as the leader of Natmaps team designing and building airborne Laser Airborne Proflle Recorder . Good company and he never fell off his barstool !
John was a friend of many and will be in their thoughts for a very long time. To Carol and family my deepest sympathy and wishes for the future.
Farewell John, comrade and friend. Always one of the very best to have alongside when work was to be done. Always one of the very best to share the after hours with.
Syd Kirkby
Sincere condolences to Carol and family. I am so sorry John didn’t get to enjoy his later years.
John and I met in 1956 as students at the Melbourne Tech. and were associated for the following 4 years there. He next appeared on my horizon in 1965 having joined Natmap the year I left. He was teamed with my brother Ed and they became good friends, so I was able to continue a loose association even though I moved to NZ. A really great guy. Good humour. Good company. A very great loss.
Farewell. JE , Many memories of good times had in our travels.
Our thoughts are with you carol .
