Joy Lorraine Harmer
Passed away peacefully
on 2nd March 2024.
Aged 68 years.
Dearly loved wife of Ron.
Loving mother of Ben and Lynda.
Fond mother-in-law of Amanda and Sean.
Adored grandmother of Couper,
Tahlia, Alyssa and Jack.
Loved sister of Shirley and Lyn.
Our bright shining star.
A Funeral Service for
Joy will be held at
Gembrook Community Centre
4 Gembrook Road, Gembrook on
Friday 15th March 2024
commencing at 11.00 a.m.
A private cremation will follow.

I’m so sad to hear of the passing of Joy.
I will always remember and cherish the time I had spent with Joy and Ron, I always looked forward to your visits with Joy at the shop, they were my favourite part of the day.

Joy lit up the room and always brought happiness with her. She is sadly missed by all of our guests, staff and volunteers. We are very lucky to have had her as part of our Fernlea family. She will remain in our hearts always. Our deepest condolences to her family from all of us who were blessed to know her.

The loss of Joy is a loss to so many. She was brave right to the end, with a smile for everyone. I’ll miss her beautiful hugs and her pure heart. I hope you can find comfort in knowing that you were an amazing support to her and you made every day happy for her. Sending you all my love.
Ron, I was so sorry to hear of Joy’s passing. I will miss seeing her by your side and her smile. Not many people could have cared for her, as you did and still been so involved in the community. Take care of yourself, now.
Such sadness to hear the loss of your beautiful wife, mother, grandma and friend. Your smile was brighter than the sun. I really only knew you for a short time and believe me you will be remembered for many years to come. Now at rest. Blessings to all. You have grown your angel wings and flew to your eternal home.
