  2. I first met Kayleene 10 years ago at Oak Towers. I remember she made me feel really welcome, and I could tell that her interactions with residents and other staff showed she was a really special, kind and caring person. On getting to know her better, my initial thoughts were absolutely confirmed.

I recently caught up with Kayleene at a lunch, and I was particularly energised by her positivity and optimism. Kayleene will be sorely missed by many, but none more so than Shane, her immediate family, and her many friends.

Kayleene, I will miss your smile, your sense of humour, your long curly hair, and our occasional political discussions! RIP. Jen Webster

  6. When I think of Kayleene I smile.
Kayleene’s capacity for caring, compassion, empathy, kindness, laughter and patience was boundless. Her concern for others and doing what she could to help and comfort them was true and genuine. Always seeing the best in people and never saying a bad word of anyone. In her working life, Kayleene’s residents and their families never doubted the commitment and passion about the care and individual attention her residents received from her. Kayleene always made sure they felt secure, important, supported and comfortable. Residents and families felt solace in knowing Kayleene was their nurse which also developed into many real and meaning relationships.
Kayleene was special, she is missed and won’t be forgotten. Heart felt condolences to Shane and family
