  2. Lavena was such an important part of Monash University library for many years. Many will remember her teaching us how to make her perfect scones, enjoying the magnificent plum puddings and her Christmas treat of homemade baileys. A life that touched many with her understanding ear and sound advice.

  6. Lavena was a very special lady, she was the heart of Monash University Library. She was funny, kind, and always willing to help out a colleague. I have fond memories of her bailey’s at Christmas and her fabulous puddings. My nephews, nieces, and my sons also had many years of enjoyment attending the children’s Christmas parties. I also enjoyed attending many events at your house over the years, it was such a warm and inviting place.
You will be forever missed and always hold a special place in my heart.

    xx

  7. To all of Lavena’s wonderful family, I am heartbroken for your loss.
Lavena was an exceptional person, and I used her shoulder more than once at Monash. I even nearly got myself plastered on her Xmas cream liquor one year.
She, with Ray, will always be watching over her much loved and devoted family.
My thoughts and love are with you all.

  8. RIP Lavena,
Lots of chats with you at MU Library.
It was always a pleasure to work on the Airconditioning in the library.
Once we got together we had fixed properly.
