  8. We would like to send our sincere sympathy to Birdie’s family. We are the family of Dorothy Mungoven (nee Nesbitt) and we heard of Mum’s fond memories of her early years spent in Iona. Mum and Birdie were great school friends and maintained a special friendship throughout decades and decades. Birdie showed what a great memory she had when she provided the name of every pupil in one photo of St Joseph’s School, Iona, in 1935. We always associate Iona with Birdie and the Fallon family. Mum’s sister Kath Turner shared the sad news and also has fond memories of Birdie and the Fallons. Kind regards, Louise Allen, John Mungoven, Kath Gijsbers and Rory Mungoven.
