  4. In childhood we all had namesakes bestowed upon us by beloved OPA. And now that u have gone to another place I suddenly remember you only as “Nickychap”. My big legendary brother. The big protector with “balls of steel” whenever we felt threatened or harassed or scared, guess who was coming to deal with anybody who messed with Lorena Teresa or Pierre?? You were the protector of everything Hazendonk. You guided me from a boy to a man. I was proud of you “Nick”
And u were never gonna die wondering Chappy. You lived a full dynamic life
Now that you have gone to that better place have a nice cold beer with the “love of your life” “Minnie”. She awaits you
You leave behind your upstanding children that you are so immensely proud of. And 4 thriving grandchildren. Generations of Nickychaps in the circle of life. You look back with pride
    Well done “champ speedy nick”
    Hazendonk legend.
    ❤️your little brother Pierre

  5. We are saddened to hear of Uncle Nick’s passing. He had such a big presence — full of life, laughter and good stories. Nick lived life to the fullest, always doing what made him happy and bringing others along for the ride. He had a knack for turning any moment into a laugh and a fun time. He’ll be remembered with a smile and missed by everyone to have known him. Thoughts are with Arie , Vanessa and their family’s. Rest In Peace Uncle Nick

  7. never a dull moment in your presence nick hazendonk.remember Pierre saying his big brother and sister in law minnie were coming down from Portland for the holidays and we were having a day at the beach at daveys bay. from that day I knew how Pierre got his dry sense of humour as we spent an hour hearding up a group of toad fish like sheep in the shallows over and over with a beer in hand and a laugh that only you owned.we kick on over new years and got know you well and what a great man you were.it was an absolute pleasure mate knowing you and Minnie over many years and the trips we all had to the footy at the mcg hoping to beat your team which never seemed to happen where great nights.plenty of nights spent in Koo-wee-rup when I lived in pakenham playing pool and being scallywags as we all did pretty well but you would win hands down.the only bloke I know that could keep a joke going without a chance of a smile so you’d have to believe its true til you gave us that cheeky laugh that never gets old. now back with Minnie and forever remembered as a champion bloke who was always there to help a mate, chug a beer and leave you in stitches. our condolences to all nicks family from our family. sadly missed buddy.
