Dear Chris, Denise, Catherine, Anne, Pip, Elizabeth, Anthony and Patrick, I know you must all be very sad at this time. I am sorry I cannot travel and be with you today. Be assured that Pat and all your family are in my prayers. I have very fond and happy memories of Pat, particularly when she came to stay with Mary and I when we were living in the UK. My sincere best wishes to you. Warm regards, John (Green)
To dear Gehring Cousins, my sincere condolences for the passing of Pat. Although there will be some sadness today, I hope you find some moments of happiness today as you celebrate her life and know she lives through each of you. I have some very fond memories of Pat, particuarly when I was very little. I remember extra Vegemite sandwiches at morning tea, generously letting Justin and I raid her cupcakes and eating all the smarties off them, and a few snapshots in my mind of Mum and Pat together in earnest discussion about matters that were not in accordance with their high estimation: Pat usually seemed to make Mum laugh a lot, and I’m not sure whether it was a phrase she used in your presence, but on one occasion I distinctly heard she was very clear that “she did her narna.” May she Rest in Peace. With much love, Damian
To all the Gehring cousins and their families. My sincere condolences on the loss of your lovely mum and nan. My thoughts have been with you all at this sad time. I hope it’s of some comfort to think of her with Jim and Michael. I enjoyed the stories of her baking and cupcakes as I remember Pat’s pink cupcakes were always my favourite when I was young. Sending you all much love, Fiona Canny
