Sending thoughts and sincere condolences to Jan and family. It’s been a special part of my career to care for and get to know Peter. Having a shared Navy background gave us a common thread and I truly enjoyed sharing a few good chats. Peter will be missed by those who knew him and remembered fondly. I wish I could attend the service, however unfortunately I’m unable to in person due to unforseen reasons. Sending love to Jan and family. RIP Peter x

Jan, we were both so sad to hear about Pete falling so ill and passing so quickly. Wish we had more time in Melbourne to spend with you both. But we have many many fond memories of Pete. He was truly an amazing man, so intelligent and a true friend. He helped us so much when we move to Australia and mentored Wil to his true path of teaching. He will never be forgotten and we will both miss him dearly. Jan if you ever need anything at all please call us. Love always Wil, Andrea & Kids. Rest In Peace Pete always in our hearts. xx

I knew you for such a short time, you gave so much to others, and hearing your life’s journey today, I know why your family is so proud of you. You are awesome.
Sad to hear of the passing of my colleague and above all friend Cleggy. We spent many good hours and days together teaching up and coming riggers, pulling down and putting up the steel at the TAFE and beyond those times, discussing all sorts of technical stuff in my later role. Not forgetting there was the end of course barbecues and the occasional early morning burnt toast. I doubt he learned as much from me as I did from him. Gone but never ever forgotten. Condolences to Jan and family. RIP Pete.
What a beautiful service. Lovely to hear and learn so much more about Peter and his family and friends.
Our trip of a lifetime to Australia in October 2023 was due to Pete’s kind invitation and his and Jan’s hospitality, warmth and generosity knew no bounds. We were honoured and blessed to have met Pete and Jan and the other members of their family and friends whilst we were there.
We will never forget him.
Sending love from Angela, Neal and Joe, the UK Cleghorn family xx
