It was only today that I heard the sorry news of Phil’s passing from neighbours here in Wellard Road, Box Hill South. I was speaking with Phil at his father’s house only recently. We spoke of the past, and some of the characters of the street, and of his family. I am always happy to think that I grew up at Wellard Road, knew the Wellards and their history here; and of all the other families that started out with us.
The Dudgeon’s send their deepest condolences to all of Phillip’s family members,
Greg
Thank you so much for your kind words. Wellard Road and it’s wonderful neighbourhood will always remain in our hearts xx
I work in the maintenance department at Ramset, Phil became a regular and most friendly face at the plant. It was always a pleasure to help and assist him. I’ve not met a friendlier and more appreciative contractor than Phil. He had a rare, these days, calm and wise nature about himself, and was also a very good listener. He was essentially a caring person who politely gave people the time of day. I am quite certain many people will have similar kind words to say about Phil. There was nothing to dislike about Phil, he was friendly to all who met him at Ramset and his sad untimely passing has saddened all that got to know him at work here.
Thank you for taking the time to post such lovely words Andrew. Philip will be missed by everyone who knew him xx
