What do you say when you lose a man who was more than a friend? Our hearts are shattered. We never imagined we would be made to feel part of the family when we first met Ray and Gwen “on the road” in Blackall 11 years ago. Ray’s little-boy laugh and his deep love for Gwen captured our hearts. David and I will certainly miss you Ray. All our love and deepest sympathies to Gwen, Adam, Scott, George and Joy and all the families.
Dear U. Min.
So sorry that you have lost the love of your life. U. Ray was a one of a kind. He was always laughing, smiling ,joking and saw the relaxed side of life. Although I hadnt seen him for a while I always loved our connection and I’m truly sad. We always just picked up from when we saw each other last and that is an easy and true relationship.
Love to you and Scottie and Adam and extended family.
See you on the tee
Kirst and Gaz and the boys. Xxxxx
We only met Ray last year in Blackall, but felt his friendship and warmth immediately. He was very welcoming and a real genuine person. I’m sad for his family and feel another has gone too early.
RIP Ray and thanks for the short friendship.

So sorry to hear of Ray’s sudden passing. Sincere Condolances to Gwenda and all the family. Happy memories from many years ago when all the families used to get together at Officer on Boxing Day to share Christmas Day leftovers, and for all the young cousins to play cricket. As the younger generation married and had children the gatherings got larger for a time, but then diminished as the Christmas period then had to be shared with various in-laws. Ray was always so happy-go-lucky. Sad to hear of his sudden passing.
Love, Kathy
