  3. To his family I give my sincere condolences I got to know Bob through Berwick Montuna Golf Club mainly when he became its Captain. His humour and ability to make friends made him a standout member and Captain. His visits back for a quiet one when his playing days over always found many. And me, ready for a chat. We had a common interest in music and particularly in the blues with a mutual Rory Gallagher. RIP mate you will be missed by many regards Ross

  4. Robert was one of my dad’s very best friends in life and as a result I grew up feeling that he was more like an uncle who had moved to Australia when I was little. I have such lovely memories of Robert sitting playing with me before he went to Australia, making me giggle, taking me to see his sister Heather and his mum May, all of whom spoilt me with kindness. The Moodys were a such a lovely kind family. I’m so very glad my husband had the chance to meet Robert when he visited us in NI, I just wish we had had the chance for further meet ups down the yrs as the two of them had such a shared love of music!! I will always think fondly of your dad and know that he will be close by you all as he loved you all so very much. Sending all my love to Deborah, Barbara,Bobbie,Katie and all the family in these comings days.
