By chance we met and our yearly catch up flourished into a friendship I valued greatly. I am sorry that we never met again face to face before you grew your wings. I will be forever grateful for your unconditional love and friendship. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for being YOU. I will never understand why you had to endure such challenges in your life because you were such a giving person that deserved the world. I know you will look over us all and in your own wonderful way you will send us your messages of support as you always did. Rest easy now Wen, pain free. Till we meet again. Heart felt condolences to your beloved Mum and your extended family.

Wen,
You were the kindest most loving person I have ever met. Your caring nature made it so easy to grow a friendship. I appreciated all the cards my family and I would receive for our birthdays and my wedding anniversary. Rest easy now lovely. Xxx
Such fond memories of our time as neighbours in Archer Road.
Your generosity & friendship, your cheery nature. Totally number one in the neighbour ratings.
Your music, the Proclaimers on repeat – you are now walking those 500 miles into eternity.
Rest peacefully beautiful Wendy.
Our love & sympathy to Barb, Neil, Tammy & Emily
Deepest sympathy to Wendy’s family. I first met Wendy in 1984 when we moved to Garfield when she worked in the bakery. If I was to describe Wendy it would be as a very hard working person giving her all in whatever she did. We both went on to work in schools and she was once again always supportive. Will remember her hospitality at Bunyip PS when I asked could I bring some girls from a surburban school to show them what it was like to work in a country school. Rest In Peace Wendy.
Oh Wendy what do I say you have helped so many people you did so much for myself and my girls more then what you had too and even though we haven’t seen you in so long we always spoke about you your an amazing woman who will be missed by many we will always talk about you love to your family and friends xxx
Thank you Wendy for all the support and kindness you gave to us as parents and especially to Tayla, Ava and Lachie during their years at Bunyip Primary. You had a positive impact on their days at school and they always spoke highly of you. You made a real difference in the lives of so many. Our thoughts and love are with your family and friends during this difficult time. RIP beautiful lady. Cassie, Brant, Tayla, Ava and Lachie
Terribly sad to hear of the passing of Wendy, or “Mrs Wyatt” as she was known to many.
Her friendly smile and welcoming character will be remembered.
Condolences are with her family and friends and may she be at rest, after a long battle.
Such a sad loss of our darling Wendy.
Wen, I will forever treasure your friendship , our fun times and your unconditional love. Coming to work at Bunyip, and meeting you and all our Bunyip family, was the greatest gift of my professional life. It continued into such a special season of friendship, and we are all so blessed to share a special bond. I can’t thank you enough for your amazing friendship, unconditional love and support to me and my family. You had an absolute heart of gold, the most thoughtful, kind and generous friend to all. I’m just so sad you’re gone, and so sad you had to endure such hardship – but what an inspiration you are – no matter what life threw at you , including your terrible illness, you kept a positive attitude, and displayed such courage grace and integrity.
Gone too soon , you will be sadly missed but so lovingly remembered always.
My deepest and heartfelt condolences to all grieving Wen, especially her beloved Mum Barb, brother Neil, and nieces Tammy and Emily.
All our love, Kylie, John, Arden, Amy, Chris, Isla and Ezra XOXO
Oh Barb, our heart goes out to you & the family. She fought hard and now it is time to let her rest. I know it will be hard to say goodbye, but I hope all these lovely messages bring you comfort to know how loved and missed she is.

The Bateman family
We started our friendship with Wendy 45 years ago at Drouin High School. We remember Wendy in the classroom with her determined attention to detail and high standards. From the outset, Wendy was a straight A student. She was always the first to finish her homework and wouldn’t settle until every word was letter perfect, even if it took several rewrites. Whether in graphic design, needlework or more academic subjects she was insistent on achieving her best. Wendy was popular at school with a wide friendship group and she loved her netball, playing in the inter sports team against other schools. More recently Wendy has continued to be our much treasured, generous friend. Our annual girls’ weekends and other catch-ups were joyous from the first hello to departure, always picking up seamlessly where we left off and never a cross word. Wendy would bring along Barb’s jelly slice, which would trigger memories of childhood birthday parties. Wendy loved people. She was so proud of her nieces Tammy and Emily and was keen to share her stories of them as they grew from little cuties into young women. Neil and the girls have been an amazing support and we know that they improved her quality of life in recent times. Wendy dearly loved her parents and the close bond and tireless support provided by Barb has amazed and ingratiated all of us who have followed Wendy’s courageous journey. Our heartfelt sympathies are extended especially to Barb, Neil, Tammy and Emily and to all those who mourn Wendy. Her spirit of generosity and striving to be your best self will live on in all of us who knew her. Wendy will be remembered by us for her kindness and compassion, her sense of fun, her joy (so aptly named), her dedicated work ethic, her persistent drive to help others and her endless giving. We will miss you gorgeous Wendy. And we love that in your quirky sense of fun, Christmas is forever now Wendy-time.
In our hearts forever,
with love from the DHS girls, Anne, Lauren, Heather and Trudi xx
This is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Wendy always spoke so highly of you all, always looking forward to your annual weekends away. Xo
Our deepest condolences to Wendy’s beloved Mum Barb, brother Neil and nieces Tammy and Emily. Her love for you all ran deep and she always spoke about you all with love and a smile on her face.
Wen was the most selfless, generous, kind, caring, fun loving, positive and determined person we’ve ever met. Her love for her friends and family was endless. We were fortunate enough to call Wen our friend and no matter how much time had passed between catch ups, it seemed like we just saw her yesterday. You come across truly special people so rarely in a lifetime – Wendy is and always will be one of these people. You are a truly admirable lady Wen and will be missed dearly.
Rest easy now Wen. xxoo

Our beautiful friend Wendy, even though we can’t be there today, it’s out of our control, we want you to know we are thinking of you all, on this very sad day. Wen, you were a ray of sunshine, so loving caring and kind, we will miss your pop in for a cuppa and chats, thank you for all your love and support to Chan and Jai and their families, you will be sorely missed, love to Barb, Neil and families.
My thoughts are with her family and friends,Wendy was a special lady, going that extra mile for anyone who needed a shoulder to cry on,or a word of encouragement.Whenever I drove passed the school at night if the lights in the office were on you knew it would be Wendy’s car in the car park working late. She gave her heart and soul to Bunyip Primary School, year after year. Her dedication never wavered. Sometimes,I would think drop in and say hi but I was always terrified I would give her a fright,I would now be delighted if I could pull in and magically find Wendy in the office. It will never be the same without her.Sending love.
Dearest Wendy. It absolutely broke my heart to hear you had left us, along with every single person that you touched with your overwelming kindness, your joy, your happiness your laughter your beautiful smile and most of all the love and friendship you shared with everyone. You did not have a bad bone in your body and would do anything and listen to anything anyone had to say and welcome anyone into your world of happiness. I thank you Wendy for the love you gave to everyone including me but most of all I thankyou for being a big part of my girls Emily and Tammy’s lives. We cherished your love and you will always be in our hearts, our soles and will never ever be forgotten. My deepest sympathies to Barb, Neil, Emily and Tammy for your tragic loss. Words cannot describe the heartache and the void you all must be feeling…..

Wendy was the first person I met when moving to Bunyip 12 years ago. She was very supportive, helpful and friendly in helping my eldest transition to a new school.
Wendy knew every family by name, she lived and breathed Bunyip PS and will always be remembered as the face of Bunyip. Her dedication to the school, students, parents, co workers and community will never be forgotten.
Wendy, you fought hard until the end and now the time has come for you to be pain free and rest, and know that you will always be remembered.
Thanks for everything you’ve done for my family and I.
It was with sadness that our group (school admin) learned of Wendy’s passing. She was very passionate about her work in schools, first as an integration aide then as Business Manager. Sympathy to her family.

Dearest Wendy, I and both of my sons Marc and David are so saddened to hear of your passing.
We first crossed paths when we moved to Bunyip with a special need child (David).
At the time Special Schools were being closed in favour of Intergration of these children into the local state schools.
Wendy you were the Light in what was a very dark time.
As Bunyip P.S. Teacher’s aid you held my hand as we travelled on an uncharted scolastic new system for the disabled.
The assistance you gave David for the next 5 years, will never be forgotten, you were our guardian angel.
