Died peacefully at Craig Care Berwick
on 16th January 2024 aged 73 years.
Loved son of Bob and Joyce (both dec.).
Loved brother of David, Len,
Gordon (dec.), Les, Graham and Ron.

190 Princes Highway, Pakenham on
Wednesday 24th January 2024
commencing at 1:30 p.m.
A private cremation will follow.

On that tough day when I got the call about you leaving us, it stirred up a mix of sadness and fond memories. I can’t help but smile when I think about the times we spent together, especially those epic handshake battles from we had as I was growing up . No matter how hard I tried, you always had the upper hand – quite literally!
Then there’s that unforgettable night after Bob’s wake at the Cardie pub. You, with your boisterous charm, led us through the wildest route home, yelling, “Follow me to the promised land, my brothers!” We trekked through bushland, jumped over creeks, and conquered blackberry patches – all guided by our self-appointed messiah. Looking back, I can’t remember a time I have laughed so hard since.
So, Uncle Bill, thanks for those hilarious and heartwarming moments.
And my deepest condolences go out to everyone here today.

Billy, where do I start with all the things I want to say? Let me start by thanking you for the gifts you gave me. My undying love of reading, I’m never without a book on the go. My love of Star Trek, I remember breaking onto the bridge of the Enterprise with you at Scienceworks and you at a Star Trek convention after a couple of drinks naming every alien that walked past. Another great lesson was to find a good job and stay there. And as mentioned your handshake was legendary as was your ability to destroy the washers in the taps, still hear Bob ranting about replacing them. You were an extraordinary man Bill and the world shall not see your like again. Let me finish with these words. “Set course for Rigel 7, warp 5. Engage. Love Ron.
